*ZERO BED BUG* is a powder form of insecticide that is used for elimination of Bed Bugs and other crawling pests.
*ACTIVE INGREDIENT*
Imidacloprid (1-[(6-chloro-3-pyridinyl)-methyl]-N-nitro-2-imidazolidinimine) 20%.
This is a systemic insecticide which belongs to a class of chemical called the neonicotinoid of the Chloronicotinyl Nitro Guanidine class.
*MODE OF ACTION*
*Zero Bed Bug* is a neuro-active insecticide modelled after nicotine which act on post-synaptic nicotinic receptors.
Imidacloprid mimics the action of acetyl choline but isn't degraded by acetycholinesterase. This result in persistent activation thereby preventing transmission of impulse (Konnie H, 2004) and leading to an accumulation of acetylcholine which results in hyperexcitation, convulsions, paralysis and death of Bed Bug.
This is obvious when the Zero Bed Bug Powder cling to the outer shell of bed bug where it cuts their outer layer and asphyxiates by dehydrating them.
